Travel Lifts

Norship’s Cairns facility features three travel lifts supporting efficient haul-outs across vessel sizes.

The Norship shipyard has the capability and versatility to haul out vessels of various configurations and sizes, accommodating up to 400 tonnes and11-meter beams. Norship facilities are certified under DefAust 5000, a defence standard from the Australian DoD that ensures quality, safety, performance, and reliability.

All-weather maintenance facility

Norship’s enclosed facility enables all-weather, environmentally compliant maintenance in controlled conditions.

Norships fully enclosed maintenance facility is a state-of-the-art paint and blast facility that ensures vessels receive the highest-quality sustainment services – delivered on time, every time.

Shore power berths

Shore power berths provide reliable in-water access to power, supporting extended servicing without the need for haul-out.

Norship’s waterfront infrastructure includes two dedicated berths – one accommodating vessels up to 75m in length and the other 45m providing flexible options for various vessel classes. Adjacent to the Norship Shipyard is Ports maintenance berth featuring a purpose-built wharf capable of servicing 2 vessels up to 80m in length and, 1800 tonnes displacement.All wharfage sites are equipped with essential services, including fresh water and shore power (32A & 64A), ensuring seamless support for maintenance and sustainment operations.
