Shipyard

Norship Marine is a large yard where your vessel will be secured in sturdy, adjustable steel cradles and not be cramped for space.

There is ample, level work surface surrounding each vessel. Crane access is easy for heavy or awkward lifts, such as engines, booms or rigging, etc.

  • The yard is fenced (except to seaward) and our security service conducts patrols outside normal working hours.
  • All sites are connected to fresh water, single and three phase power.
  • Cranage, Cherry Pickers and Forklifts are available
  • A convenient and environmentally sound means of on-site disposal is provided for waste oils and bilge water.
  • Powerful, high pressure water washers are available for owners to wash down their own vessels. For those who prefer not to do it themselves, Norship Marine can provide staff to do it for you.
  • Norship Marine can look after all or part of your work for you - or owners may arrange their own repairs or engage their own contractors if they choose.

Note: Abrasive blasting and spray painting are not permitted except by Norship Marine staff.

Mono or multi-hull - trawlers, tuna boats, game boats, dive charter vessels, tourist ferries, yachts and semi-submersibles - all these and more make up the 400 plus vessels hauled out at Norship Marine every year.

Vessels up to 120 tonnes displacement with a maximum of 7.5 metres beam are catered for at Norship Marine, where haulout, refloat and shifting of vessels is accomplished with the aid of a mobile ship lifter.
